What's a Summary?

A Summary it 's a brief re-statement in your own understanding about an article .It should not contains your own opinions .Normally,it 's a short paragraph length contains of the original work.At first,it should mention the author name ,and the source.It points the main idea clearly of the original work.Then, shows the supporting point with no explanation about it.You should use your own words.Academic Summary could be presented in the form as, an abstract ,or an annotated bibliography.

I am from Haiti. It’s a third party country located in the northern hemisphere. I moved to the USA in March 2007.The reasons I moved here are because of politics, social crisis, and kidnapping. My parents were afraid of me being kidnapped, so they made me move to the USA.I went to Hanover Senior High School. I graduated in 2008.It was one of my best experiences in high school.

Coming to Penn State wasn’t one my favorite options to pursue my superior education. It was a last minute choice. I told myself , “It’s a good a school, and it‘s not far away. Why not give it a shot?”So here I am at Penn State University, and I am enjoying every minute of it. It’s an outstanding school. I am a freshman this year in the Division of Undergraduate Studies. I’m looking forward to moving to University Park to pursue my degree in Pre-med.


In the future, I am preparing toward medical school. Someday I would like to be a pediatrician. At present, I am trying to do my best in school. Hopefully I can get a scholarship to medical school. I don’t have any big plans besides school. However in the future, I would love to go back to visit Haiti and build my own aid organization for kids in need. I would like to improve their education, eating habits, and give them hope for a better future.

From where I came from, they always told me ,“Education is the foundation of success.”I will not let anything keep me from pursuing my dream. I want to help other people in need.

college or university in US are different from some other countries.Being a college student it is

not all about getting a good grades or having a good job,and making more money.It is more

about how to become a better citizens for your country.Students should participate in class.They
should share their ideas by addressing each others with respect.It should not have any

plagiarism, taking someone house writing and get credit for it.Everyone is different from

other.You have the right to be treated with respect no matter what your socioeconomic ,or

politic class . You get academic terms such as final exam,a quiz,add or drop a class,and many

more.The article tell you a better way to address your instructor such as , never put a tittle in

front of somebody first name.Keep in touch with your instructor in case if something inevitable

happens.There are many different way to stay in touch with your instructor such as by phone,or

From what i read i do understand that university or college work different in US than some other countries.I learned that college it is not all about getting a good grade ,having a good job ,and making more morning,it is more about to be a better citizen for your country.Student should participate in class ,they should share their ideas by adressing with respect.It should not have any plagia.Everyone is different from other,and you have every the right to be traiting with respect no matter of socialeconopolitic class.And they have term academically speaking like : a final exam,a quiz ,add or drop a class ,their meaning and many more.i knew how to adress my instructor, like no title in front of people first name.keep in touch with your instructor in case that you are in an inevitable situation .they have have many different way to stay in touch by your instructor, by email or by phone.You are suppose to check your university email often .Always use a brief and clear subject.Use a proper writing convention.Represent yourself respectly.finally void any big value gift that can make other think twice.Do not fixe on grade try to ask about your weakness work,or discuss with your instructor that something you might need more credit for it.
